JUVENILE SIBLICIDE WITHIN A CHILD MALTREATMENT FRAMEWORK: DEVELOPMENTAL CONTEXTS, FAMILY ADVERSITY, AND PREMEDITATION IN A FORENSIC PSYCHIATRIC SAMPLE FROM TURKEY.
— STAFF
This is a small, single-jurisdiction descriptive case series of an extremely rare offense; it provides context for evaluators who encounter juvenile intrafamilial homicide but establishes no new doctrine, changes no evaluation procedure, and — with 22 cases and cell counts in single digits — does not supply an estimate a forensic examiner could defensibly rely on in a report. Nothing an evaluator has been asserting becomes harder to defend, and no clinician's obligations change.
