Forensic hospitalization in early psychosis is estimated at roughly 5-6%, with male sex, Black-Caribbean ethnicity and prior police contact reported as associated factors, but the estimate rests on two studies within a literature built almost entirely on homicide-offender samples rather than on followed-up early psychosis cohorts.
